I moved to Wilmington, NC in 2001 with my wife and three children from Boston Massachusetts. Over the last several years we have loved living here in Wilmington and feel there is a place here for everyone. The people are friendly, the weather is excellent! and above all, life is slower and much more enjoyable. This point of land (Cape Fear) which is located in the south east corner of North Carolina is the furthest north you can go and still be in a tropical planting zone. So, yes we have palm trees and numerous other tropical plants which stay green year round.
